The street food is everyday life for both Vietnamese and visitors alike. People eat anywhere at anytime! It’s like a veritable gastronomic carnival.

The core of the nightlife scene is the area covering the the streets of Pham Ngu Lao, De Tham and Bui Vien – the tourist quarter in Saigon. In this area, you can find dozens of small and big bars and pubs, plenty of street food and many “other things”, all at relatively cheap prices.

Vietnam Good Morning Vietnam

I started with my very first visit to Asia in one of the craziest cities in the world, Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon), Vietnam, on January 1st after spending the New Year’s Eve in Doha Airport. It was early afternoon when I landed, but on my Eastern European time it could still say “Good Morning”.

What better way to overcome fear than by facing and defying it? So, someday at the beginning of October, I booked a flight to Vietnam, just to force myself to leave, for once.

During my time in Romania, I learned more about the country that I had expected. It was the first time where I learned in person, talking to people and seeing the sights without consulting any books which I think is quite a special way to discover new things.
